"I really hope I got a dud. I have a Tenkara USA Sato and Satoki. Both have landed 20"+ fish. I found wasatch, read the reviews, and decided to go all in. Got the snubnose, maruki, and siyco. First day in the water, extended to 16', set the hook, and the siyco snapped at the first section after the handle. Thankfully, I was able to quickly collapse to 14'6" and land the fish. It was an 11" dace. All of 6 to 8 ounces of fish. Now I have to wonder: if the "big fish" rod is this flimsy, what of the others? Do I ask for a full refund, send back everything, and seek out a made in Japan rod or give it a second chance? If wasatch sends a replacement section, I'll give it another shot. As of now, I cannot recommend any of their products and will not fish the other two rods."
"This rod has been doing some amazing work throwing streamers. Finally hit the river on opening week and haven’t done any kind of Spey casting since last season- I felt it the next morning! I highly suspect this rod will be in heavy rotation for Salmon and Sea Run Cutthroat. I’m running a modified Skagit and the rod has no problems shooting the line with a heavy streamer. Ladies, this rod is heavy after a few hours on the river. It still has the Tenkara accuracy so don’t let it intimidate you."
"I am new to Tenkara fishing. I have a Rodzilla and some others but I found the Siyco. It is nimble and responsive. I first used the Siyco during a dive trip to the Florida Keys. I wanted to utilize the “glow in the dark” feature of this rod. Using the Siyco in near dark conditions adds a dimension to Tenkara fishing- it’s like using a really cool light sabre! You need one!"
"First time ever going fishing. Caught a sixteen and a half inch and a fifteen inch trout. Stealing hubby's tenkara...... love the pole thank you Ruben. Carl's wife corys mom...."
